Cabinets Direct supply Cabinets and Carcass for some of the world's largest businesses in the Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms industry.

In this blog of "Inside Cabinets Direct", we're going to take a virtual step into our facility and how we make our premium cabinetry.

The Programming Stage

When a design is put through, our programming team prepares all of the measurements to go through our array of machinery. This includes:

The Beam Saw

When a design is ready and programming have the requirements ready to start commencing the build, it is sent to the Beam Saw where it will begin cutting the panels to the correct dimensions.

The CNC Machine

Finally, with the panels complete, it's now time to drill holes which will be important for the final assembly.

A Computer Numerical Control Milling (CNC) Machine is an accurate machine used to drill the placements for dowels to connect to other panels that will make the cabinet.

We also have machinery that is capable of drilling the holes and gluing the dowels in (Efficient!) This ensures that the dowels are in place securely and will strengthen the build of the cabinet.

Pocket Drilling Machine (For In-Frame Kitchens)

The Pocket Drilling Machine will drill holes at an angle, which means the cabinet doors can sit within the frame. This machine is a must-have in our facility with the rising popularity of In-Frame Kitchens.

The Edge Bander

After cutting, the Edge Bander does exactly what its name tells you. It will band the edge of the cut panels with Edge Bander glue and Edging. Now, it's starting to get somewhere!

The Cabinet Clamp

Next, the cabinet will go to the builders who will assemble the cabinet together and place it in the Cabinet Clamp, which is a large computer-controlled machine that squeezes the panels together firmly, to ensure the fit is secure and held together with premium-quality strength.

Finishing touches

Finishing touches include drilling holes into the cabinet doors for our Blum hinges, to ensure luxury soft-close for your customers.
